Aims & Objective Of EGNA
The Eastleigh Gurkha Nepalese Association (EGNA) The EGNA objectives are: For the benefit of the Nepalese community residing in the area of Eastleigh, Winchester, Southampton and Portsmouth, to preserve, develop and celebrate the Nepalese identity at the same time as promoting their social inclusion and integration into the wider community by such charitable means as the Trustees think fit, including but not limited to the following:
1. The advancement of education, in particular by the provision of English Language tuition.
2. The relief of financial hardship, disability, physical and mental sickness.
3. The provision of advice, counselling and support.
4. The provision of community facilities for the public at large in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure time occupations of individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity, disability, financial hardship or social circumstances, with the object of improving their conditions of life.
